OK — Now that you’ve registered…

Beginning on September 23rd, we will rehearse from 6:30- 8:00 pm at the Amasa Chapel every Thursday night until our performance.  Your attendance at these rehearsals is very important! Our dress rehearsal will be on Thursday, Oct 28. In one unique situation, on Sept. 30th, our rehearsal will end at 7:30.  On that night, I invite you to join me right down the street at the Barking Spider tavern for my solo performance from 8-10 pm.

I will also offer 2 Wednesday night Kent rehearsals at the UU church of Kent (228 Gougler Ave)– September 29th and October 13th. 6:30-8:00 pm. This rehearsal is open to all but especially for those that have trouble making it up to the Cleveland rehearsals.

I will be posting everything that you need to rehearse for the choir on this page.  Please download these .pdf files and listen to the music player to the right.  With only 6 rehearsals, it is important that you spend some time learning the music on your own.  When you arrive at your first rehearsal, I will have a packet of music to hand you, but feel free to print these files for your personal use until then.

Let me know if you have any trouble retrieving these files or if you’re not familiar with these computer terms, I may be able to help.

On the right-hand sidebar of this website, you will find a music player and a video player.  This is where I will post some of the mp3 practice files.  Thanks to the people at “reverbnation.com” you will now be able to download the .mp3 files for your own rehearsal use.

Here are 3 songs to get started with:

Praise Song by Hal Walker:  (#1 on the video player, #3 on the music player)

You’ll find 2 different versions of this song in the music and video players to the right. And below is the .pdf file for download.

Again, you can listen to this song in the music player #2 to the right.  The tenor part is in the right speaker and the alto part is in the left speaker.  The soprano and bass are in the middle. Below, you’ll find the .pdf file.  Special thanks to Margot Milcetich for recording the songs with me.

One Voice by Ruth Moody (arr. H. Walker)

Listen to #4 on the music player.  I recorded the tenor part very quickly, so it is different than what is written below.  Tenors, please learn what is written.

Szekely Aldas: music by Elizabeth Norton, words: Traditional Transylvanian.

My daughter, Hallie agreed to record one part to this song this afternoon… so, you can listen to a father/daughter duet on the music player to the right. (#5 — please scroll down on the player) .pdf below
